U.P. Truck Center has 11 technicians on hand working 2 shifts to meet all your repair needs. We are an authorized repair center for; Western Star, Sterling, Caterpillar, Fuller, Eaton, Meritor, R/S Bodies, Page Lift Axles, Root Spring Scraper, Log Lift Loaders, and numerous other companies. We have tech's specialized in Air Conditioning, electrical, ABS and air systems, driveline, hydraulics, and any other area of heavy duty truck repair.

U.P. Truck Center has been building truck mounted log racks since 1985. We have some of the most qualified welders in the area, bringing 50 years of experience to our fab shop. Many features have been added and experience has brought the quality of our racks to the exceptional level we see today. Our customers can take credit for many of the features we offer today, as they are the innovators of their industry. We have just committed ourselves to listen and be open about new idea's.

These techs also routinely extend, shorten, or repair truck frame rails with the precision of factory manufacturing. We do a wide variety of aluminum welding in our shop too.

U.P. Truck Center has installed hundreds of new lift axles, using methods and tooling that has been copied by the manufacturers themselves. We use a unique plumbing system, keeping a clean look in the cab, and an efficient and safe installation out on the truck frame. We have installed many dump bodies, stretching the range from 8' to well over 20'. With both our customer and ourselves suffering from improperly installed equipment from some of the "specialists", we both benefit greatly from the installations done in our own controlled shop.

Setting up truck
A new Sterling truck brought in to be modified for a tandem axle dump truck.
Frame has been stretched and drive axle moved back. A pusher lift axle is installed to allow lifting for better traction to the drive axle. This is a new concept that has really taken off with highway trucks running in the mountains.

This picture shows the rear area of the newly stretched frame. The main front suspension bracket is still mounted on the original truck frame. The rear hitch plate can be seen also.
Completed truck with body, tires and new paint. Customer has indicated they are really pleased with whole job, and the lift axle concept is working well in traction situations.
